The Slow Press is a passion project by Catie King, a Brisbane based creative on a mission to inspire lifelong curiosity & sharpen the mind in a digital world designed to numb it.

"Everything you see is created or designed by me, usually from my home office, but just as often from the kitchen bench or the floor! It’s a one-person operation, built slowly in the gaps between everyday life.

I’ve always been a maker. As a kid, I’d design my own activity books for camping trips just for the satisfaction of the process. That love for puzzles, of being creative and curious hasn't changed; as a woman of MANY hobbies and interests and passions, I’ve never fit into one box, and I prefer it that way.

In a crazy world of endless online noise, shrinking attention spans and doomscrolling, The Slow Press is my way of pushing back. It’s an invitation to put down the phone, engage your brain, and enjoy the simple, physical act of thinking deeply.
