FAQs

How does The Slow Press club work?

The Slow Press Club is a modern puzzle club in print. When you subscribe, you receive a monthly A5 paper booklet filled with puzzles and other analogue rituals to encourage mindfulness and time away from your screen. Editions are sent via Australia Post as unregistered, untracked mail.

Subscriptions close on the 13th of each month, before each edition is carefully packed and posted a few days later on the 15th of each month.

In order to receive the latest edition, you must sign up before midnight (AEST) on the 13th of the month. Any sign ups after this date, will receive the following month's edition.

You will be billed on the same day as you originally signed up, every month, for as long as you remain a member of the club. You can skip, pause or cancel your subscription anytime and are able to do so via your customer portal. If you are having any issues, please email us at hello@slowpressclub.com.

What kind of puzzles are included?

The three main puzzles that will always be included are crosswords, word searches and my favourite, Sudoku! Each edition introduces new and exciting additional puzzles like anagrams, futoshiki, murder mysteries, number pyramids and other maths based puzzles, as well as mazes and more! No two editions are ever the same.

At the back of each edition, you'll also find some amazing insights from our resident psychologist. Members also have the opportunity to anonymously write in their questions and sometimes, we'll select a few and dissect them. It's a beautiful way to end each edition with some valuable psycho-education.

Where can I find the answers to the puzzles?

Three weeks after each edition is posted, members receive The Afterword - our monthly email containing all of the puzzle solutions.

We intentionally wait a few weeks before sending the answers because we're firm believers that not everything needs an immediate answer. Sometimes the joy is in sitting with a puzzle, coming back to it later, or solving it together with someone else.

The Afterword is an exciting continuation of each edition, delivered straight to your inbox. Not only does it contain the answers to your puzzles, but the recipe of the month, a bonus puzzle, and a few other little surprises, exclusive to members.

My edition hasn't arrived yet, what should I do?

As we're sent via Australia Post as standard, unregistered and untracked mail, (or as we like to call it 'snail mail') delivery times can vary depending on where you live. It can take between 7 to 14 business days to receive your edition, particularly if you live rurally, anywhere in Australia.

If it's been longer than three weeks since your edition was posted, please get in touch with me at hello@slowpressclub.com.

Additionally, if you receive your edition and it is damaged, please do not hesitate to send me a photo of the damaged item and I'll be more than happy to replace at no cost to you.

How can I make changes to my subscription?

You can make changes to your subscription any time via your customer portal. This is automatically created when you first sign up to The Slow Press and you would have received a confirmation email with a link that takes you straight to your customer portal.

In your customer portal, you can skip, pause or cancel your subscription, update your payment details and update your address. If you have any issues, please feel free to email me at hello@slowpressclub.com and I'd be happy to assist!

Please note, as you are automatically billed on the same day each month, if payment fails, your subscription will be automatically cancelled and you will need to re-subscribe via the website.

Can I send this as a gift for someone else?

Yes, absolutely! All you need to do is ensure their address is what you've put down for delivery. You can also leave 'special instructions' if you'd like me to include a hand written note with their first order.

Where do you ship to?

We ship all around Australia!
